Cringletie House Hotel In Peebles Earns Tourism Award

A PEEBLES hotel has been given a top award by the Luxury Travel Guide.

The Cringletie House Hotel in Edinburgh Road was awarded the Luxury Boutique Hotel of the Year accolade, after impressing tourism experts with its hospitality.

And Jeremy Osborne, the manager of the hotel, which has already won the AA Scottish Hotel of Year, said receiving the recognition is a "spectacular" achievement.

He said: "This is a wonderful honour which we want everyone from anywhere to be able to come and enjoy.

"Cringletie is renowned for its affordable luxury in all aspects; superb food and service, along with fabulous rooms and most of all its friendly and efficient hospitality.

"We are always at the forefront of providing people with different and unique experiences and so this recognition is spectacular."

All winners of the Luxury Travel Guide Awards are subject to the same assessment criteria, carried out by a group of tourism professionals.

And all gain a place in the awards winners’ guide, which will be distributed to more than 500,000 affluent people worldwide.

The Luxury Travel Guide also have a sponsorship deal with United Airlines so the guide will be found in airport lounges worldwide, as well as on cruise ships, a further 10,000 hotels, holiday specialists and tour providers.

"This year has seen an unprecedented number of shortlisted companies, providing strong competition in every category."
