USA:Virgin Atlantic Ushers Festive Feast

Passengers flying with Virgin Atlantic next week will be offered a festive feast, with the airline preparing to serve 27,000 Christmas dinners at 38,000ft.

From December 24-26, customers can receive a complimentary three-course Christmas meal.

In total, Virgin Atlantic will serve up about 2,000 kilos of turkey, 100,000 sprouts, and 82,000 roast potatoes on-board flights to the US, Africa, UAE and China.

Customers travelling in upper class or premium economy can also choose from a selection of winter cocktails.

Virgin Atlantic executive vice president of customer care Jill Brady said: “To make our customers' journey that little bit more special we’re serving Christmas dinners on board all flights to the US, South Africa, Asia, and UAE between December 24 and December 26. We started developing the special festive menus in June to ensure we’re providing an extra tasty treat for everyone travelling with us this Christmas.”
