UAE: First Emirati Restaurant At Dubai Airport Opens

Travellers passing through Dubai International airport can now get a taste of local Emirati cuisine while waiting to board their flight.

Located in Terminal 3, you’ll be able to sample local delicacies while waiting for your flight.

S34 Gahwa Mezza Bar is a traditional-style coffeehouse now open in Terminal 3 that draws its inspiration from the gahwas (coffeehouses) found dotted around the alleys of the Al Fahidi neighbourhood of Dubai.

The restaurant’s vibrant and contemporary dEcor contrasts a dine-in and take-away menu packed with classic Middle Eastern and Emirati favourites including samosas, sambousek, ras el hanout lamb shoulder, meaty kibbeh flan and more.

And of course, there’s a wide selection of teas and coffees on offer ranging from traditional Arabic coffee with cardamom to karak tea.

It’s good to know that even if don’t get the chance to set out of the airport and visit Dubai, they’ll still be able to sample some of the local delicacies.

We’re excited to check it out next time we pass through Terminal 3.
