CHINA: Bulgari Hotel Shanghai Opens June 20th In Shanghai

The Bulgari Hotel Shanghai in top eight floors of 48-storey tower that also includes luxury residences, located beside Huangpu River, opens on June 20.

Bulgari, a high-end jewellery and watches company, is set to introduce its signature Italian refinement to Shanghai from June 20, when it opens its sixth and latest hotel.

The Bulgari Hotel Shanghai, forming part of the city’s Suhe Creek redevelopment project, boasts views of the iconic Bund, Pudong’s financial district and the Huangpu River.

The hotel takes up the top eight floors of the 48-storey tower – also home to the Bulgari Residences – located beside the restored Chamber of Commerce Shanghai building, which dates from 1916 and is surrounded by lush gardens.

Spread across the hotel’s eight storeys are 82 guestrooms, including 19 suites.

A highlight is the 400-square-metre (4,305 square-foot) top-floor suite, which can be connected to an adjoining suite for an extended, 570-square-metre, three-bedroom experience.

Six dining options are dotted across the property, in both the tower and the restored Chamber of Commerce Shanghai.

A 2,000-square-metre spa and fitness centre completes the hotel.

Occupying the lower floors are the Bulgari Residences.

The sleek interiors are the work of Italian architectural firm Antonio Citerrio Patricia Viel, which has also worked on perfecting the aesthetics of all of the other Bulgari hotels.

The firm has created a hotel that features contemporary design codes, refined with a touch of Italian luxury and balanced with Shanghai glamour.

Bulgari already has plans for three more hotels in the future: in Moscow and Paris in 2020, and Tokyo in 2022.
